Luxury Ireland Vacation Review: Dublin, Galway, Doolin, Cliffs of Moher, Killarney, Cork, Dingle Peninsula, Slea Head, Aran Islands

This was our first trip to Ireland and it was exciting, exhausting, enlightening and not without a few surprises. Our travel company is based in southern California not Ireland. We had some caution that they may not be able to support us along the way. To our fortune, we did not need their assistance as they made great plans and the "self-guiding approach" we developed was just right for our needs.
We used a rental car for our movement from one hotel to the next. We started in Dublin, drove the width of the country to just northeast of Galway to our hotel. We made our way from there to Doolin, on the west coast and out to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher. From there we moved south to Killarney. On our last day in Ireland we drove to Cork to fly to London and then home the following day. Driving on the left side of the road takes a little adjustment but we made the entire trip without a scratch our little SUV. The majority of our pre-planned events provided excellent guides/drivers with only a couple of average guides/drivers along the way.
