Luxury Italy Birthday Vacation Review: Rome, Florence, Orvieto, Chianti, Cinque Terre

The people were wonderful.  Everyone was very kind and helpful.  The food and wine were amazing and how can one not marvel at the art and history of this beautiful place? The "Butcher" in Panzano was a foodie's delight as was La leggenda dei Frati in Castellina in Chianti. They may be moving to Siena or Florence, but look for them.  The vintner and her amazing prosciutto from the pure Cinta Senese animals represent the best that Tuscany can offer.at Casamonti in Castellina in Chianti.

We were so glad we made reservations at the major museums and engaged a guide.  With the exception of one challenging experience, we had extremely memorable tours with the local guides. They were informative, personable  and oh so enjoyable.
