Luxury Italy Family Vacation Review: Rome, Florence, Tuscany, Uffizi Galleria, Vatican Museum, Ponte Vecchio, Sistine Chapel

My email and phone contact was this travel specialist from this Italy travel agency. First, I found him to be very personable and extremely knowledgeable about Italy. He was helpful in all ways about what monuments and museums we should not miss, as well as offering suggestions for our grand-kids evening entertainment. He is a delight to work with.

As to the services, they were exactly as planned and promised. The price was very reasonable for the services offered.

We ( a group of 5) were met with a van as planned and on time just as we were promised. In each case, the van was a proper size, very clean, comfortable, and a recent vintage. The drivers handled the luggage, were helpful, easy to talk to, and knew the cities. 

Each of the guides we had ( three different ones) were professional, knowledgeable, and fully able to give us all the background we wanted on monuments, paintings, artists, sculpture, and architecture. In addition, since we had kids of ages 15, 18, and 20, they had a special task to keep the kids interested and informed in all the museums and churches. The kids enjoyed them all. They did a fine job. 

The overall plan of the trip was superb. We spent 3 days in Rome, a train trip to Florence, 2 days there, a van ride through Tuscany (with a farm visit with lunch), then back to Rome and home.

In Rome we stayed at the Romanico Palace and in Florence at the Pierre. Both were comfortable, clean, and very classic Italian. We enjoyed the Pierre a bit more than the Romanico Palace. It seemed  more well appointed. In both cases, the staff was helpful and friendly.
