Luxury Italy Tour Review: History, Art, Local Cuisine, 8-Night Vacation

My review of the travel company is a mixed bag. When planning our trip the communication with one particular agent was fantastic. Hotels chosen were in very good locations, drivers were always on time and most of our tour guides were excellent and a pleasure to be with. Our biggest disappointment was the complete lack of communication when there was a change in our itinerary. We were following the schedule given to us, waiting for a driver to pick us up to take us to our next hotel and destination, only to find out that there was no driver to pick us up at the scheduled time per our itinerary, because there was a change. However, the travel agency failed to inform us of this change! The agent I spoke to was very apologetic and sent a driver to us as soon as she could. We were communicating with several agents during our trip which leads me to believe that this company is more than likely a bigger travel/tour company. This is probably why there was that failure in communication. Someone dropped the ball. I was given a U.S. telephone number for me to text or call but when I texted no one replied. This happened a couple of times. When I emailed to reconfirm pickup from our hotel to the airport at the end of our trip, I did get a reconfirmation in a timely manner. I was asked to inform the agent who emailed me to inform her when we arrived at the airport just to be sure everything went smoothly. I did so, but did not get any reply at least to ask us if everything else went well… basically to tie up loose ends. Our experience with this travel company was not terrible but it certainly didn’t meet the exemplary standards that we have been accustomed to with our previous Zicasso travel specialists. We pay premium for superb service that Zicasso advertises as luxury travel. Communication is key to delivering this superb luxury travel service. Unfortunately, this travel company was a disappointment in this regard.
