Overall, our vacation was wonderful. Most of the accommodations and tours exceeded our expectations, some greatly exceeded our expectations.

You did a great job not only in lining up destinations and activities to match our interests, but also devoted appropriate amounts of time at each destination, which was important given the number of places we wanted to see.

The one bit of negative feedback I want to provide has to do with our stay in Rotorura. The hot springs tour was excellent, but the Maori cultural tour failed badly to meet our expectations. We would have preferred not to participate. The problem was that there were far too many people, and the emphasis was more on putting on a show, rather than providing much information about Maori culture or history. The audience consisted of people from 5 full size tour buses and a smaller group from a half size bus. Each busload of people was herded from one station to another, then we were all sent to a large room for a performance and another large room for dinner with no assigned seating and no direction on where to sit, My wife and I and I barely managed to get seated together!

I suggest that you drop the Maori culture tour company from your list of preferred suppliers.
