Luxury Portugal & Spain Birthday Vacation Review: San Sebastian, Porto, Lisbon, Douro Valley, Food & Wine, 8-Night Tour

We had not been able to travel much the past two years and I wanted to have a nice vacation for my wife's birthday. We wanted to travel to a part of Europe we had not been to before and we wanted the trip to be built around food and wine. Spain and Portugal were our choices and we worked with this travel agency to get there.
Ana and Patricia are the best. They sent us an itinerary for San Sebastian, Porto, and Lisbon. They explained their reasons and got our input. They checked in at regular intervals and met with us before our trip. When we landed they were always available to us and this was facilitated by the phone they provided us at our first stop.
We loved our itinerary. They arranged for us to stay in some delightful boutique hotels and connected us with the best guides and transportation the entire way. We have a new appreciation for both countries and would be interested in seeing more because of our affection for Spain and Portugal and the experience we had with our travel agency.
In the end, all that really matters is that my wife said this was the best vacation ever and her best birthday ever.
