We had not been to Portugal before, so the number of new and interesting experiences was quite large. Climbing over the rock strewn Geres National Park to see the multitude of waterfalls, the lovely Douro Valley, and the splendid meals in Coimbra, Lisbon and Herdade do Esporao all contributed to a great trip.
