Luxury South Pacific Vacation Review: Australia, New Zealand, Hobbiton, Waitomo Glowworm Caves, Great Barrier Reef, Daintree

We, my husband and I, enjoyed visiting Hobbiton and Glowworm Caves in NZ as well as snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef in Port Douglas, Australia.  However, our favorite part of the trip was the cultural walkabout tour with an Aboriginal tour guide who took us to spear our own seafood, walk barefoot among mangroves to collect shellfish, and taught us about medicinal properties of nature in the Daintree Rainforest.  It was an incredible experience that gave us an insight into how locals live.  We and Juan were the only ones on the tour so it was really personal and not touristy.  We got to see a side of Australia I think few individuals get to view.
