Luxury Trip to India Review: Rajasthan, Varanasi Silk Weaving, Narlai Stepwell, Delhi Food, Jaipur, Mumbai

We saw many different cities—Udaipur, Narlai, Jaipur, Delhi, Agra, Varanasi, Mumbai, Ranthambore and others.  Much of the time we were in Rajasthan.
Mumbai is fun and you can find lots of great restaurants.  But in Varanasi we walked through a part of town where everyone is involved in the silk weaving trade.  And we saw the silk production and weaving by looking into the small places where people were working. It was clear they didn’t get tourists ever.  It was one of the best, and most authentic, parts of the trip. 
We also really enjoyed Narlai and the dinner by the Stepwell.  And then next morning we walked through the town to find the entrance to the mountain to climb.  The view from the top was something special.  We highly recommend the hike.  
The fort outside of Jaipur is awesome in it’s scale and stature. Not to be missed.  And if course, the Taj Mahal. It lived up to expectations.  
One other highlight we loved was the food walk through Delhi.  The food was amazing, and the experience was one of a kind.
