This was a superb trip! It was well planned from the outset and well executed in the country. All the logistics were impeccable and the choice of activities and lodges gave us a good variety of experiences. The Zicasso guides in each location were knowledgeable and friendly. The beauty and grandeur of Namibia speaks for itself. It was truly a trip of a lifetime.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Sossusvlei is a unique location. The landscape is stunning and unlike anything else I've seen, so that was the best. Our guide was impeccable and a mentor in Namibian things.

We were the only clients at our camp and the staff treated us grandly. We were like family, it seemed, and made great connections with them. The team cooked the best meals we had in Namibia. I'd hire them as my personal chefs if I could. And we had a super host.

The rooms at Ongava were super luxurious and the staff were very accommodating. We had a great guide, remarkable sightings of lions hunting, and up-close encounters with rhinos – beyond belief!

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Swakopmund was the least interesting stop. We stayed at an excellent hotel and the dune bicycles were fun, but the Living Desert tour was too long and not very interesting, especially in contrast to the other safari-type activities on the tour.

Okonjima was perfectly fine, but a step down from the other camps. The chef tried too hard – simpler meals would have been better. There was also a limited number of outings included in the price. It was nice to see the cheetahs, but given they're in captivity, why at 6am? The guide was excellent though.
