New Zealand Family Vacation: Bay of Islands, Abel Tasman Kayaking, Kaikoura, Queenstown, Rotorua, Outdoor Adventures, Gourmet Meals

There were many highlights of the trip such as the visit to the Bay of Islands where we boogie boarded down large sand dunes and taking a boat trip to see the Hole in the Rock.  The glow worm caves in Waitomo were also very interesting and educational for my 12 year old daughter.  Rotorua was fascinating as we explored the Geothermal Wonderland.  Kayaking in Abel Tasman and swimming with dolphins in Kaikoura was the highlight of the entire trip.  We swam in the open ocean with hundreds of dolphins and even saw a momma nursing her baby.  The Fox Glacier trek was also very beautiful and a once in a life time opportunity.  Queenstown is definitey the playground of New Zealand, we had a great time going to restaurants, riding the gondola and luge and my favorite, doing a bungy jump from the famous bridge.
