Our self drive honeymoon trip to new zealand was amazing and very relaxing. Most things went smoothly. We underestimated the time needed to drive from Christchurch to Mt Cook and couldnt arrive on time for the glacier explorer tour at Mt cook. Our agent however, was very responsive and helpful. He managed to secure slots for us for the next timing and we could drive across in peace. We were very happy with the accommodation booked (except for the rotorua hotel) but everything else exceeded expectations.
