Zicasso offers an amazing service that connects you with a travel agent who lives and works within the country you are visiting. That was one of my main criteria – I wanted someone who really knew the country firsthand versus someone booking things remotely. They provided an app with a very detailed itinerary that was so helpful. Our agent was also very communicative anytime we had a question while we were there.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Spending time together was, of course, the best part of the trip, but we loved all the excursions that were recommended, from the heli hike to Milford Sound to bungy jumping in Queenstown.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We would probably stay an extra day in Waiheke Island, and because we did so much driving within the country, we would probably eliminate the TranzAlpine train because although it was very fun and relaxing, it seemed redundant for our trip.
