We had an amazing trip to Peru! Everything was taken care of by Zicasso’s travel agent and the tour companies chosen were top-notch. We loved our guide, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We traveled to Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu, and Puño!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We loved a food tour in Lima, but the highlight was Macchu Picchu and climbing Huayna Picchu. We also enjoyed Cusco and going on a tour nearby to ancient ruins and a llama farm, as well as seeing weavers. We also enjoyed Lake Titicaca and appreciated being taken to the more authentic Islas de Los Uros farther away rather than the “fake” ones made for tourists.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We might upgrade our room at the hotel in Cusco and spend one more night in Aguas Calientes to relax and enjoy.

We did a homestay at Amantaní Island, which was good, but wished our host family had interacted with us more than they did and showed us around the property and what they do (farming, sheep, textiles). Perhaps the tour guide during that portion could have facilitated this?
