Portugal Vacation Review: Porto, Lisbon, Sintra, Aveiro, Obidos, Fado Experience, Cooking Class, Douro River Cruise

It was all wonderful! In Porto, the Sandeman port wine tour and the beautiful Douro River cruise were highlights.

On the transfer drive from Porto to Lisbon, we loved our driver, who went out of his way to take the seat out of his car to retrieve my friend’s wedding ring, which she accidentally dropped down through the seat into the metal body of the car.

We received amazing kindness and service while we explored Obidos! (We could have passed on Aveiro. The canal ride was kind of hokey and touristy.)

The day tour to Sintra and the Peña Palace was a standout!

In Lisbon, the fado dinner was a highlight, with very professional singers and a great meal. We also loved the cooking class.
