Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

The trip was amazing and everything I hoped for. My travel agent was very accommodating and helpful. This was our first trip to Europe. We traveled several weeks with multiple destinations and numerous private tours. He answered my numerous questions and gave good recommendations. I think he went above and beyond to help me, before and during the trip. He was always available to me. We did have a couple hiccups along the way which worked out. These things can happen and the response was appropriate. That's all that mattered.

The hotels choices were all very nice with one exception in Florence. The planned events were good, but a couple I could have done without. Those things are hard to know until you do them and find out the hard way. That is why the 4 star instead of the 5 star.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Each city was memorable, most enjoyable is hard to say. I cannot choose one, each place had its own flavor. We rented a car and drove around Tuscany for several days, which was beautiful. I think renting a car was good because it gave us more private time and more choices.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Less tours, it became overwhelming and too much to absorb. I would spend less money on those organized activities. We did DInner with Locals in Rome, I would not do that again. The locals were one woman chef in her home, who did a lot of American bashing in regard to our food. Very arrogant! The other people were tourists like us.

I would insist before the tour itinerary is booked (tours, etc) that I know ahead of time the days, times etc. Some things were booked at a different time from what my preference would have been. I would prefer to have more input regarding the timing of things.

I would spend more time in Paris, skip Nice. Beautiful but not my favorite time. We needed more time, but i'm sure everyone says that!
