Review: Africa Family Safari, Tanzania, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Arusha, Lake Eyasi, Zanzibar

We recently returned from a magical June trip to Tanzania that was personally organized by the owner of this safari travel company. She helped us plan a truly memorable, once-in-a-lifetime trip with every detail taken care of. She was a perfect fit for us to help us plan a family adventure that appealed to both a tween and parents as she's taken her own family to Tanzania many times and knew exactly which properties/camps, as well as activities, our family would truly enjoy.

We started in Arusha and then traveled to Lake Eyasi to spend time with local tribes, then to the Serengeti to see the great migration, followed by Ngorongoro, and then finally a visit to Zanzibar. In one trip we experienced everything from hunting with the Hadzabe, viewing wildlife up-close in the Serengeti, traveling through the lush rainforest of Ngorongo, and relaxing on the stunning beaches of Zanzibar.

We have traveled all over the world and experienced many adventures with our son, but I have never seen my family more happy and content as while we were in Tanzania. Tanzania now has a very special place in our hearts, not only for the exceptional wildlife adventures we experienced, but also for the warm and beautiful people we encountered (not to mention the family bond we now share as a result of our time together in Tanzania).
