Thank you for taking the time to post your review and delighted you enjoyed your time in Australia.

We are disappointed to hear you experienced issues with your seat assignments on the American Airlines/Qantas code share flights, this should not happen but the airlines do caution a seat assignment does not guarantee the final seat number. I am sorry to hear you felt disorientated on your arrival into Australia and missed your first planned afternoon tour. Unfortunately the tour company will not refund the cost of the tour as they were at the hotel to pick you up as scheduled on your itinerary and they did offer another tour the next day at a 50% cost reduction. We regularly schedule our clients an afternoon activity on the first day of arrival into Australia as even though the travel and flight is tiring, it is important to stay awake and adjust to the new time zone and having a short afternoon tour aids this adjustment. In addition, the hotel rooms are often not available until 2-3pm so rather than having a wasted first afternoon we schedule an arrival tour for 1pm. Our office in Sydney did sympathize with your adjustment to the timing of your flight which led to missing the tour but certainly did not mean to give you the impression that they were surprised you had a scheduled activity on your arrival day as this is commonplace for many clients arriving into Sydney internationally.
