Review: Family Vacation in Greece, Athens, Santorini, Naxos, Akrotiri, Acropolis, Sailing, Beaches

I contacted this travel agency in early May 2018 with a request to take our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children ages 9-14) on holiday to Greece at the end of June, first part of July for 9 days.  It was absolutely amazing!!  Our travel agent's planning and communication made the trip seamless.  

After talking to this agent, we decided on an itinerary that would give us 1 day in Athens, 3 days in Santorini, 3 days in Naxos (my favorite) and then another day in Athens at the end of our trip. Our agent arranged every part of our trip except the transcontinental flights, which we already had. (transportation to/from airport/ports, airline/ferry tickets between our destinations, Villas/hotels, car rentals, tours, etc.)   My husband was concerned that visiting multiple destinations would be exhausting and stressful, but our agent made it so easy and mindless that it was not a big deal, even with three children in tow.  Private luxury transportation to and from the airport/port was always on time with friendly, helpful drivers.  Our hotels in Athens were great and our villas on the islands were SPECTACULAR!  We chose to rent villas outside the main tourist areas (another great choice which increased the relaxation factor) so our agent had our rental cars delivered/returned to our villas so that we never had to wait in line at the car rental desk or stress out trying to find where our villas/hotels were located.  That detail alone saved us a lot of time, stress and headache.  Villas owners were super friendly and provided maps and recommendations on what beaches to go to or sites to see on the days we didn't have tours scheduled.

I appreciated that when planning tours, our agent was mindful of the fact that our children were young with short attention spans.  They loved seeing the sites, but needed short explanations on what was being seen.  Make sure he arranges for the iPads when you visit the Acropolis, when you have children or not.  I loved using them as much as my children did.  I think my kids' favorite tour was the day we spent sailing in Naxos.  Don't forget water shoes, for cliff jumping.  

Toward the end of our stay we ended up changing our transcontinental flight at the last minute so we could cut 10 hours of travel time.  I emailed our agent and he changed our transportation pickup time without a problem.  

This company excels at customer service and one-of-a-kind vacation holidays.  One thing I don't think you will get from another travel specialist will be the follow-up and communication during your trip.  Our agent always checked in with us, gave us reminders of tour times and pick-up locations and made sure our vacation was meeting our expectations.  I cannot recommend this travel agency enough!  I know travelers receive multiple emails from travel specialists when using Zicasso.  If you are going to Greece, don't bother with anyone else.  Really, you won't be disappointed with this agency.
