Review: Honeymoon in Argentina, Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, Tango Show, Wildlife, History, Hiking, Local Food & Wine

Every part was memorable! We loved seeing Buenos Aires and learning about its rich history through our guided tour. We got to see a local soccer stadium (the boca juniors), a beautiful cathedral and the famous opera house, the pink house and many monuments. We also got to see the various neighborhoods and got a feel for the culture. We happened to be in Buenos Aires on the night Argentina's national soccer team qualified for the world cup. The whole city was watching, even the waiters at a restaurant! We could hear cheering and honking and celebration after every goal and especially when they won. It was amazing to be in the middle of something so unifying and exciting! We also got to see a fantastic tango show on our first night there. The performers were some of the best we'd ever seen, with live music, singing, and dancing, as well as a delicious meal and good wine.

In Iguazu, the most memorable experiences were seeing the GIGANTIC falls, riding up to them in a boat excursion and getting drenched, and seeing the local wildlife, like coatis and toucans and lizards. We also loved relaxing in the rainforest resort, it was so peaceful!

Oh, also, the food. We will be dreaming of the food in Argentina for a long time. We brought home some souveniers, but once our yerba mate and jar of dulce de leche runs out, we may just need to go back. Also, nothing compares to the steak and the wine in Argentina. I highly recommend it.
