Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

From the beginning it was clear that this Italy travel company wanted to make sure our trip was what we hoped it would be. We were pleased with the variety of activities they offered, and communication was easy through email and phone. They even checked up on us during our trip.

It was such a luxury to have the details of our trip arranged for us. We were able to enjoy the country and each other without worrying about our itinerary, all we had to do was show up! I felt very confident the entire time. I cannot imagine our trip without their assistance.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The guided tours were amazing! Our tour guides spoke English very well and were clearly educated and passionate about their occupation. Without them we would have hurried right by many hidden gems in each city. My husband and I were equally impressed and agreed that these tours gave us an invaluable appreciation and understanding of the country. If you enjoy history and theology, the tours are a must!

Our gondola ride to our restaurant in Venice was so lovely - what an iconic, romantic evening we had! I enjoyed that we got to do this after meeting with the master carpenter, it made me appreciate the hard work and artistry that goes in to the vessel. And the recommended restaurant had some of the best food of the trip.

I also enjoyed our stops in the smaller cities of Orvieto and Sienna. Aside from the breathtaking views, it was nice to get the feel for a smaller city.

I could go on and on... Italy was simply amazing, and to be able to delight in her beauty and history without worrying about the details of our trip was absolutely priceless.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would take an extra day in each city we visited to relax and enjoy the area before moving on to the next spot. The guided tours, though wonderful, can be a little tiring when they are back to back. (Our travel company actually recommended that we take a little more time, but we had to take a shorter trip due to our own schedules and budget. Also, we did still have plenty of "free time" and I wouldn't change the itinerary of our trip).
