Review: Luxury New Zealand Graduation Vacation, Lord of the Rings Tour, Rotorua, Queenstown Glacier Helicopter Tour, Hobbiton

We sent my son and a family friend on this long-awaited vacation to New Zealand as a college graduation gift.  Both of them are Lord of the Rings fanatics and have longed to see the LOTR locations for years.  We dealt with this agent and she did an outstanding job of organizing exactly the trip they were hoping for.  Their favorite part was Hobbiton (Rotorua) and we have the most wonderful pictures of them in front of the Hobbit homes, and eating at the Green Dragon Inn.  Next favorite was the helicopter ride to the glacier outside Queenstown – they couldn’t believe they were standing in the snow in short sleeves.  They will never forget the “Remarkables” mountain ranges, magnificent and where the dwarfs climbed up the mountain.  They got to see both islands, and four towns/cities.  Both said Queenstown was one of the most beautiful cities they have ever seen.  All the hotels they stayed in were also excellent and had great views.   I feel that this agent did a fabulous job giving us exactly what we wanted, and so much more.  This trip will be one of my son’s greatest memories and I am grateful for the whole thing.
