Review: Luxury South Africa Family Safari, Cape Town, Table Mountain Hike, Cape Peninsula Tour, Wine Tours, Adventure & Wildlife

While the entire holiday was memorable, our favorite has to be the safari at Savanna.  The game drives are forever in our memory and will stay a part of our dreams. The encounters with the leopards, lions, elephants and all the animals changed how we see the world and our responsibility to care for our environment. The accommodation, meals and service at Savanna was first class.  The small number of guests allowed for a friendly and family-like quality.   Also, the hike was superb.   Our guide gave us a choice of hikes but challenged us to do the more difficult hike with some "scrambling" up the rocks.  He was there at every turn to compliment, encourage or coax us up the mountain.  He even prepared a lactose-free lunch for my husband.  The weather was outstanding and our guide even spotted a caracal (which must be rare from the excitement on his face).
