Review: Luxury Southeast Asia Tour, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Siem Reap, Ho Chi Minh, Luang Prabang, Halong Bay, Cu Chi Tunnels Tour

We really enjoyed Halong Bay cruise, Angkor Wat temples and staying at the sofitel hotels just made it so much fun. The service was excellant? 

The stay at Sofitel metropole legend in Hanoi Was the highlight of our trip there. We stayed in the historical wing and it was an experience we loved. Hanoi does not have that much to see but the hotel made up for it. Their Vietnamese restaurant is outstanding. The foid foid and service were excptional. The staff went out if their way to help us out in everthing. This was true for the staff at every Sofitel we stayed.

The Sofitel Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, is an excellent facility and we wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the hotel as it is a place where we would have liked to relax for an extra day. Siem Reap has some very nice restuarants. The tuk tuk is the way to travel and are very cheap ($3) to go one way anywhere, no matter what. They are very comfortable and safe. Not like Bangkok!

The Sofitel plaza in Ho chi minh city was very nice as well. Ho Chi Minh is a nice city and it is safe to walk around and see the city. 

Cu Chi tunnels were very interesting. We are glad we included the visit in our tour. There was lot more to explore and see there then we had expected.

The Paradise cruise for Halong Bay was very enjoyable and the service on the boat was very good. The scenery is beautiful. The enire cruise with the scenery, cave tour and sunset views was fantastic. Thoroughly, , recommend taking the cruise. I have motion sickness issue and had decided to go with paradise as their boats are bigger. The sailing was very smooth. The crew went out of their way to accomodate my food allergies issues and would get some dishes especially prepared for me.

People in Cambodia and Laos are very friendly and polite. Food and things are very cheap in all the countries we visited. Mekong river cruise was nice.

Laos is a country that is still trying to build up their tourism. We found the people very polite and nice. There were very nice restaurants in Luang Prabang. Saw some nice villages, learnt a lot about their culture. The monks alms giving event that takes place every morning was very interesting. The tourist can take part and give alms/ food to the monks. The food basket can be purchased right there as people are preparing food and selling the basket for $3 to anyone who would like to participate.  Our guide was very helpful and polite.
