Review: Luxury Vacation in Greece, Santorini, Crete, Naxos, Local Food & Wine, Culture

If you love to eat, Greece is the place for you.  When we were on Naxos, our planned excursion had been cancelled due to high winds, our travel agency gave some ideas on how to spend the day.  We rented a car and headed to the northern most point on the island, which was a fishing village. We had the best experience - we ordered a whole fish - they presented to us the fish we were going to eat before they cooked it.  It was one of the best meals.  We toured the villages along the way and had the most authentic experiences.  

Crete - was beautiful and full of history! In Crete we realized how much we enjoyed visiting the museums and old ruins, which we got to do on all of the islands we visited.  Nothing better than coming home a bit more humble after learning about all of the things the Greek people have accomplished!

The ferries - we loved traveling between islands on the ferries instead of planes.
