Review: Peru Tour, Cusco, Lima, Machu Picchu, Local Culture & Cuisine

It's so hard to choose!  A particular highlight for all of us was the canopy tour.  We were very pleasantly surprised with the food throughput, having no prior experience with Peruvian food.  We all particularly enjoyed the introductory walk through the market and city of Cusco with our agent.  My husband still talks about how good his dinner was that night.  The unplanned stop with our agent by the corn beer roadside store was a big favorite, too, plus feeding the alpacas.  I was so glad that our agent showed my daughter the guinea pigs.  Emma was able to make the right decision not to eat one when she saw them in advance, thank goodness.

The hotels in the jungle and Cusco were very memorable — I sure wish I had more time in both locations.  My daughter and husband loved the mystique of Machu Picchu and we all thought that our guide was absolutely amazing.  His knowledge and love for Machu Picchu and his culture were remarkable.  He is an outstanding tour guide.
