Review: Peru Vacation, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Cooking Class

I was satisfied with the trip. I did however encounter some issues while over there. First of all one of my requests on a cooking class was completely changed without me being notified. I was sent an final itinerary, and it turned out changes were made to this. I was fine with the class, thinking, okay, the main thing in Peru is Machu Picchu. However, someone in the travel company made a mistake and also made changes to where my train would depart from. This made me lose half a day in Machu Picchu!!! I was furious. Instead of taking the train and the train station 30 min away from where I was staying (again,as my final itinerary said), I was told the night before departing that my train was 3 hours away!!!! The travel company tried making up for it, by providing my partner and me free lunch, and a private tour both days in Machu Pichu, along with a little gift. However nothing would give us that extra time in Machu Picchu. I am satisfied with the individuals that picked us up every day, from airport or hotel. Also the guides were all great. Everyone was very nice. The problem was with my travel agent I believe. Because of this I don't give them 5 stars. my trip to machu picchu cut short definitely is so significant to dock them 2 stars. Next time I have to be more careful, in either making sure I have a good travel agent, or a good travel agency whose agents I can trust. I do want to remark that the ease of travel was great. To have everything (well, almost everything) planned and taken care of was great. I would just recommend this company to be more proactive in training their travel agents and making sure they do their work. I might be wrong, it might have been someone else in the administrative side who dropped the ball, but my travel agent should have been on top of things, and those incidents should have not happened.
