Review: Tour of Austria, Germany & The Netherlands, Cologne, Vienna, Munich, Heidelberg, Lindau, Rhine Valley, Bavarian Alps

Our trip was planned and executed in accordance with our wishes. The guidance on sights to see and dining was very helpful. The hotel selections were very good with the exception of our hotels in Cologne and Vienna. The staff at the Cologne hotel were not very accommodating and the hotel itself if a bit run down and not up to par in cleanliness. The Vienna hotel was in a great location but the bed was very uncomfortable. It had only a thin mattress. The breakfast was very limited and there generally was no one at the reception desk. The guides were all good with the exception of the one for Vienna. He was not a real guide but rather a driver usually engaged in picking up and dropping off passengers. He basically just drove us around. In contrast, the Heidelberg and Munich guides were of very high quality.
