Overall, I had a wonderful time with this travel company for my trip to India with a stopover in Dubai. Logistically everything went smoothly in terms of hotel arrangements, airline flights, and ground transportation. The folks who met me when my flight arrived or took me to the airport were punctual and helpful. Our tour guide was great, telling interesting stories on the bus, providing good cultural context and made sure we got our rooms, looking after us all very well. I enjoyed my travelling mates- the group size of 10 was fine and I did not mind being the only male.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The tour highlights were the Taj Mahal, Mughal architecture(Humayan’s Tomb, Red Fort and Agra Fort), Ranakpur Jain Temple and the Ajanta and Ellora caves, especially Cave 16 which is right up there with Angkor Wat and Borobudur. The hotel accommodations were all very good. I also liked the visit to rural Rajasthan, including the camel ride to the farming village where we met wonderful children.

I also enjoyed the half day tour of Dubai. Perfect to be dropped off at Dubai mall so I could visit the Burj Khalifa on my own. There was also enough time for me to explore new Dubai on my own in the afternoon using the local Metro which I also took to the airport the next day.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would stay with the same itinerary since I got to see many interesting sights in a relatively short time.

There were few downsides: the rickshaw ride through Chandi Chowk was long with no bathroom breaks. We drove near the President’s palace in Delhi but did not see it. The most painful bus ride was from Agra to Dausa- through twisty and bumpy back roads in darkness; our driver did a great job getting us to Talabgaon castle safely.
