Review: Tour of New Zealand, Queentown, Auckland, Te Anau, Rotorua, Hobbiton & Lord of the Rings Sites

More time in Te Anau, less in Queenstown.  Would also have taken an earlier or later tour of Hobbiton to avoid the enormous crowds.  We did not do as much Maori cultural site experiences as we could have, that was a conscious choice but still something I would have enjoyed and will have to look into when I go back.

We spent little time in Auckland but that was okay; the main attraction there is the beaches nearby and we wanted something a bit more unique to New Zealand.  We'll spend more time there next time we go.

Thank you your feedback in regard to your recent holiday here in New Zealand. We certainly endeavour to do our best to tailor a holiday that suits your needs and wants. Having all had young children, I know we as a team certainly tried to take into account that your son would most likely require afternoon naps (thus booking an earlier tour at Hobbiton). However during the peak season securing preferred tour times when booking excursions is always a challenge. New Zealand, being such a very small country with a defined peak season, is very popular with tourists wherever you travel unless you really want to get into the more remote locations and that then brings up practicalities around quality control, personal supplies, access to shops etc. Certainly now that you have been, you can pick a few other locations or travel to more remote locations!
