2. Going above and beyond (do the owners of any other company show up at your hotel at 430 AM to drive you to the airport and send you off?)

3. Unique experiences tailored to your interests

4. Friendly, knowledgeable guides (with one exception)

5. Expert, safe drivers

6. Good suggestions for restaurants

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Loved the hike through the Douro Valley and lunch at the home of our charming wine maker guide and his wife on the terrace of their Quinta overlooking vineyards and the river

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Hotel in Porto not up to par

Guide for Coimbra had visited the university only once and wasn’t up to speed about it.
