Review: Tour of Thailand, Bangkok, Krabi, Grand Palace, Elephant Experience, Snorkeling, Food Tour, Floating Markets

Trip summary:

Bangkok hotel - Wonderful!!  Very clean and enjoyed the sauna and healthy breakfast options.  One of the best places that we have ever stayed at. 

Krabi hotel - Beautiful but very far from anything that isn't a resort.  It is definitely quiet but it was too limited.   We also got a lot of mosquito bites here. 

Gaggan - Getting to sit at "The Lab" made it much more special.  I felt like I was in an episode of "Chef's Table."  The food was definitely high quality, unique, and delicious.

Nahm restaurant - Not a highlight, especially after Gaggan.  

Elephant experience - Enjoyable but wish that we got more time with the elephants.  Bits of it were boring and strange  like having to sit and watch a very outdated video. 

Krabi island tour - Guide was very friendly and funny.  Water was nice and warm but not much to see during the snorkeling portion.  (By far, Hawaii seems to have the best snorkeling). 

China Town Food Tour - A lot more food than I have had with other food tours. We were stuffed before we reached the end.  We really enjoyed eating the street food and felt safe about the street food we were getting. 

Grand Palace/Temple Tour - Learned a lot about Thai culture at this place but that was mostly because of our guide.  He was excellent!!  I don't think that we would have gotten much out of it without our personal tour guide. 

Thailand is definitely a country worth visiting again.
