Review: Vacation in Australia & New Zealand, Queenstown, Christchurch, Doubtful Sound, Helicopter Tour, Catamaran Glacier Cruise

Best excursions: helicopter on glacier, catamaran on the coral sea (however the coral is all dead or
brown but the water and fish were beautiful,) jet boat trip up Manapoui and views of the mountains,
Boat trip across Doubtful Sound, waterfalls and getting right up next to steep rock walls

Best animal experience: feeding wallaby at lunch, Weatherdale animal experience, albatross and petrol
flying overhead on the Monarch boat, blue penguins at Antarctica experience in Christchurch (we did
this on our own, but I highly recommend it to any one staying in Christchurch, the downtown area
hasn’t recovered from the earthquake.)

Best hotel: Sydney with harbor view was outstanding, the hotel was most comfortable—we could live
there

Limetree—best B&B  the hosts are fabulous owners and local wine by the fireplace with their conversation a real treat (however, they have just sold to a big conglomerate and the new people may not be as good)         

Hotel in Dunedin—very cosmopolitan and modern
