I want to recognize the outstanding service that our Vietnamese travel agent provided throughout this trip. Every aspect of the trip was exactly as we wanted it, and our travel agent went beyond the call in rearranging our trip on the fly when a typhoon hit Hue the day before we were scheduled to land there. Should you be considering a trip to Vietnam, you can do no better than having this agent arrange it.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The time we spent with our two wonderful guides learning not only about the sights and the history of Vietnam, but also about their lives growing up in Vietnam after the American War, how they came to be guides today, and about their families and hopes for the future.

Of course the countryside is beautiful, the people friendly, the food is wonderful, and the motorbike traffic unbelievable.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I wouldn't have had a typhoon hit the city of Hue just before we were scheduled to visit, and I would have sought a visit to Halong Bay that took us to more remote parts of the Bay, away from the armada of boats that go to Surprise Cave every day.
