Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Everything went well and our tour guide was informative, companionable and had some great suggestions for making itinerary changes to meet our interested.
We did learn that when you have customized travel we as the consumers have to do the necessary research to guide the travel company and next time we would be a little more specific about the type of accommodations we required but this was really our responsibility as this travel team shared websites and descriptions we just didn't pay as much attention to the details as we should have.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

It was all quite good. We enjoyed navigating Edinburgh and Glasgow on our own. We thought the Highlands were beautiful and the history and culture we learned by visiting the castles and museums particularly interesting. There were some beautiful walks/hikes and we went to some unusual places such as Scotland's secret bunker and touring the boat Discovery in Dundee.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

See our comments above re: accommodations. Otherwise the trip was just as we expected and the right mix of different sites and activities.
