Solo Luxury Trip to Egypt Vacation Review: Food Tour, Nile River Cruise, Guided Historical Sites, 10-Day Tour

I highly recommend the Food tour in Cairo. The small group of 8 (including the tour guide) really allows you to hear and interact with the guide and locals more - not to mention the food was exceptional. One piece of advice - Come Hungry! You visit 8+ spots of local food and drink.
Nile River Cruise -  The boat was very modern and clean. The food selection and quality were amazing - definitely a fine dining experience.  Breakfast was by far my favorite from the buffet options to the ready-to-make selections. The pastries were also a close runner-up for favorites. The boat had no more than 40 luxury cabins & suites. The staff made you want for nothing as they accommodated your requests. The absolute best aspect of this cruise is that they provided personalized tour guides for the entire trip. Before arriving I thought everyone on the cruise would have the same tour guide, but to my surprise, every family/party had their own guide. I had the same guide for all the days I was onboard which allowed me to create a friendship with my guide and keep in touch.
This is a personal preference but the only downside for me is that there are no onboard activities. For example, this boat does not have billiards, a library for books, or games. There is a small spa and an upper deck pool area with lounge chairs which were very nice. Some nights local entertainment was brought on to entertain guests. The cruise had various age groups from couples to families with children, to older travelers. This cruise is for those that want to relax and unplug from the world while sailing down the Nile with stellar food. 
Tour Guides - My tour guides were both very knowledgeable Egyptologists. My tours were great because of the information I learned. I don't like big tour groups as I feel a lot of information is often missed. I highly recommend having an Egyptologist as your guide to the big sites, temples, and museums.
