Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Zicasso’s travel agent was very responsive and put together a good trip. We loved the hotel in Cape Town and the camp was superb. We could have done without the hot tub/outside shower amenities at the latter, which seemed a little over the top, but that is a minor quibble.

What we did object to was the hefty credit card payment charged by our travel agency. Nobody is going to pay cash for a trip like this. Just include the fee in the basic charge, please.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The camp was definitely a highlight. It was top-notch in all respects. And while we loved seeing the big animals, it was the birding that stood out for us. It was spectacular and our guide was very knowledgeable.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We would have arranged to do more hiking.

Our company takes our traveller's comments very seriously as their satisfaction with our service is our top priority in everything that we do.

We are pleased that Mr. Wieboldt and his travel companion had a good trip. He stated that he objected to paying the credit card fee. We would like to point out that we provide our clients with several options for paying their deposit and balance invoices and that the vast majority of clients do in fact choose to pay via check or wire transfer where there is no fee assessed.

We are a small, family-owned business and cannot afford to absorb the credit card charges. We do make it clear upfront what those charges would be before our clients decide on a payment method. Some of our clients still do choose to pay via credit card because of the additional benefits provided by their card including travel insurance and travel points accumulated.
