Southern Italy Vacation Review: Sicily, Pompeii, Lunch & Wine Tasting, Palermo Cooking School, Blue Grotto, Valley of the Temples

Pompeii was more than I expected and our guide was incredible followed by lunch and a wine tasting.  Our hotel was charming and the restaurants they recommended were wonderful.  A day boating, seeing the Blue Grotto and Isle of Capri made for a memorable day.  In Palermo we took a cooking class and learned some new techniques and made 4 local dishes. The Valley of Temples was another amazing day with an exceptional guide and a stay at a 4 star hotel.  Then on to Catania and Mount Etna with another great guide and more wine tasting.
