Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

My husband and I had the most wonderful vacation. He has always wanted to go to Spain and it was perfect timing for us to celebrate his 50th birthday and our wedding honeymoon that we have postponed for years. Our trip planner from this tour company took care of everything from hotels, transportation, restaurant bookings, tour guides. We were provided with a itinerary book that was very detailed and thorough. We are both very busy and didn't have time to do research and book/reserve places/events ourselves. All the places that were recommended to us were great. He was always in touch and we were able to connect with him easily.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We loved every part of the trip including the train ride from Madrid to Seville while seeing the beautiful landscape eating delicious food and drinking wine, enjoyed soccer game at Camp Nou watching Messi play, 8 course dinner with wine pairing on my husband's 50th birthday (our trip planner even arranged for the restaurant bring out candles for his birthday cake), private tour of Seville with Sherry tasting, amazing architecture of Madrid and Toledo... it was all just so fabulous.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would stay longer in Madrid and Seville and less in Barcelona. Barcelona felt way too touristy although we did enjoy paella cooking class. Gaudi was spectacular except it was way too crowded with tourists...
Our itinerary was a bit too packed and didn't get much time for rest and relaxation. Next time we travel, we will ask to have extra days without any plans. I did tell Luis what I wanted to do in Spain so he did his best to fit everything within 12 days we were there. I think we were a bit too ambitious.
