Tanzania Family Tour Review: Wildlife, Culture, 12-Day Vacation

There were several:
1 For two weeks my wife and I had our entire family (14 plus us) to ourselves. I cannot think of a better way to do anything.
2 We volunteered and paid for some improvements at a primary school in a village. We only made a small dent in the needs that are there (and probably repeated many times in the country). However, it was a great experience. School was on while we were doing this. This meant that the kids were constantly calling out to us, high-fiving us, etc. I smiled for two days without interruption.
3 The animal sightings we out of this world. Lions and Cheetah only feet from our car. Lots of elephants, including one who made sure we knew whose road we were on. We backed of the road and waived him on!!
4 The hotels and tented camps were all high quality. Great staff.
5 The people of Tanzania are the friendliest and most welcoming people we have experienced.
