Tanzania Luxury Trip Review: 10-Day Vacation

I wanted to take the time to follow up on your recent Tanzanian safari experience and the comments you shared with us on Zicasso. Firstly, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your valuable feedback, both the positive remarks you left in each camp and property in Africa, and of course the concerns you raised during your journey through Tanzania with our team.

At our core, we are committed to providing exceptional experiences for our clients, and we take any negative feedback very seriously. In light of your comments, we conducted thorough investigations and discussions with various parties involved in your trip, including our ground handler, your dedicated private guide, the airline company, and the transfer agents in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Our aim was to gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges you encountered.

One of the primary issues you highlighted was the perceived "wasted" days during your game drive in Lake Manyara. I fully understand your disappointment when you didn't encounter lions or flamingoes on one two-hour game drive. It's crucial to acknowledge that wildlife sightings in national parks, such as Lake Manyara, can be unpredictable, even when planning meticulously. As you ventured through Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti, you likely experienced the dynamic nature of wildlife behavior and bird activity. This unpredictability is a fundamental aspect of any safari and adds an element of excitement and suspense.

Regarding your flight delay from the Serengeti to Zanzibar, I want to clarify that although there was indeed a slight delay, it amounted to 53 minutes and not an entire day, as it may have seemed. The pilot logs have you arriving at 2:53 pm, whereas you were originally scheduled to arrive at 2:00 pm. Unfortunately, flight delays can occur due to factors beyond our control, and it's a reality of travel worldwide. I also acknowledge that the road transfer to the resort in Zanzibar was fixed at one hour (standard transfer time), and I understand your frustration that it took this long. We will certainly keep this in mind for future arrangements, including the possibility of a helicopter transfer.

I also investigated the issue of receiving the incorrect flight schedule upon your arrival in Zanzibar. Upon reviewing your file, you had the correct paperwork before your departure to Africa. However, I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the transfer agent who provided incorrect information upon your arrival. When you contacted me from the resort in Zanzibar, I promptly assured you that everything was in order, and you had the correct documentation. I understand that this situation was less than ideal, and I am addressing the matter with our local supplier to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
