Tanzania Luxury Trip Review: Zanzibar, Safari, Wildlife, 10-Night Vacation

The safaris were unquestionably, the favorite part of our trip! The impalas, zebras and wildebeest clustered at the waterholes in Tarangire were an amazing sight. Enjoying lunch at the lodge,  we could see the elephants trundle down to drink at their watering spot and zebras resting under the shade of a tree. The staff at the odge felt like family!
At Tarangire, seeing a lioness stalking her prey and a baby elephant rolling around in the mud  were almost unreal. The humor in seeing a lion make a failed attempt at snagging a warthog at Lake Manyara left us laughing! The idyllic beauty of the Ngorongoro crater with its huge concentration of animals and birds was amazing to behold and something we will never forget. The vast plains of the Serengeti and the lions, giraffes, and swathes of wildebeest  had us feeling like we stepped onto a movie set! And of course the crossing at the Mara River was a sight to behold!  However, all these experiences would not be possible without our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite, and did his best to make sure we had a wonderful safari. His passion, pride and love for his country and the environment was very evident!
We also enjoyed staying at the lodges and especially the tent camps! Hearing lions roar at night was a thrilling experience! Most of all, we liked the staff at all these stays...they were welcoming and joyful!
Ending our trip at Zanzibar was also wonderful as it gave us a chance to relax before the long flight home!
Overall, we liked the seamlessness of our experience as outlined by the travel agency. Natalie was easy to work with  and accommodated all the changes we requested while planning our trip. She understood what we were looking for and made excellent suggestions for our stay!
