Tour Review: Spain & Morocco Family Trip, Barcelona, Montserrat, Valencia, Madrid, Toledo, Marrakesh, History & Culture

There are fewer tourists in February in Spain as it is not so warm before the high season, which worked out well for us. We like to walk to take in the sights, and Spain is a really great place to do so. All seven of our tour guides on our walking tours of Barcelona, Montserrat, Madrid, Toledo, Sevilla, Granada and Marrakech in the Morocco portion were knowledgeable and engaging and were enjoyable to chat with. They really added a lot to the experience of seeing these historical cities. Our favorite was in Toledo, but they were all great. In fact, all the personnel we encountered in our arrangements, from the hotel staff to the car drivers to the tour guides were friendly and made each part of the trip in both countries an enjoyable experience. Walking around Valencia on our own to see both the the old town and the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences was also a blast! Both countries we visited are steeped in history and are marvels to behold. And watching the maestro Cazorla at work in Villarreal was truly epic for this soccer fan.
