Everything about working with the travel designer and this travel team was superior. I cannot  imagine better service or a more concerted effort to make our custom trip exceed our expectations. His timely attention to both our personal interests and our comfort was extraordinary. And when we met him in person, he was delightful. Our guides were like family, extremely well educated  and shared personal stories as well as information that was presented articulately in clear English.  . The drivers were both pleasant and so professional on roads that could have been treacherous. The vehicles provided were very clean and comfortable.   I spent years traveling for National Geographic and as a professional anthropologist. As my husband and I are now over 70, we now prefer to work with others to help arrange the details of travel so that we can more thoroughly enjoy what we are seeing, exploring and discovering. We also need to recognize— as did our travel designer and our guides— that we no longer can travel as energetically as we once did.  The recommendation of Zicasso to work with the designer and this team made the trip everything we dreamed and more. We had a three week plus plan with a few personal days woven in for relaxation.  The adventure remained, but with sensitive recognition of our limitations. And our designer  managed to artfully balance my husband’s interests  in history and politics with my interest in traditional cultures. We thought this would be a once in a lifetime trip. It was. But we are considering returning for more exploration of the interior of the country.
