Travel Review: 10th Anniversary Vacation in Italy, Florence, Tusany, Lucca, Siena, Cinque Terre, Cheese & Balsamic Factory Tours

Our agent and her travel company planned the trip of a lifetime for us!   We began planning our 10 year anniversary trip to Italy last summer - almost a year before our trip.  We found this agent and her company on Zicasso and she really understood the type of trip we were looking for.   We wanted a trip to Italy that wasn't a typical tourist trip to just see the sights in Florence and Rome.   My husband and I love food and wine and wanted to immerse ourselves in the Italian culture - we also are fairly independent travelers and like a good mix of structured and free time.   Our agent came up with a trip that encompassed all of our wishes and desires - her itinerary was the perfect mix with private guided tours for a couple of hours each day and then plenty of time at our leisure.   Nothing could prepare us for how amazing this trip actually was in person!

We started our trip in Parma where we enjoyed the beautiful city and had a tour of the dairy where Parmigiano Regianno Cheese is produced followed by a visit to a Balsamic Vinegar Factory.   Our agent's suggestions for dinner reservations were spot on in each location.   We spent the next couple of days in Portoverne and enjoyed the natural beauty and a guided tour of Cinque Terre.  Then we proceeded to the lovely town of Lucca where we enjoyed a tour of the city.  We spent the next several days in Florence and had a fantastic tour of the city and a gastro tour.  We spent the remaining time in Tuscany with a wonderful wine tasting and visiting several lovely little villages.

Our travel agent personally checked on us several times during the trip to make sure things were going smoothly, she also adjusted some our itinerary mid-trip due to some things going on in the area we were staying.   Her service isn't just in planning the trip - she follows through with you to make sure your entire experience is perfect.  Her attention to detail and her knowledge of the area and her choices on guides were perfection.   We can't begin to describe how pleased we were with this trip and her planning.   If anyone is considering a trip to Italy they MUST use this agent and her company!!
