Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

We had a wonderful trip. "Tuscany in Winter" was my husband's idea to experience this beautiful part the world beating summer crowds. We visited the lovely ancient city of Siena the historic Florence and the Tuscany countryside for a few days in between. We were able to enjoy the galleries, restaurants and other popular sites pretty much on our own and were welcomed very warmly in cold weather by all.

Our guide and driver were very professional and pleasant. They were very concerned about all aspects of the responsibility of providing the very best service possible.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We really enjoyed the private guided tour of the Michelangelo's magnificient "David" and the very lovely blessing by a local priest arranged for us at a mass in thankfulness on our 30th wedding anniversary!

Our son and girlfriend also joined us half way through our trip and we all thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class in the chef's local apartment and shopping for lunch items to prepare in the local market.

We also attended a Benedectine abbey and the Benvenuto Brunello wine exhibition which was a real treat as well.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I think the only two things we would change would be three nights Siena rather than four. We simply enjoyed Florence a little more.

Additionally, because perhaps it was in the winter months , after touring the vineyard in Chianti we would have headed back to Florence for a casual dinner rather then the very special Michelin rated meal in the region. We had simply just had a long (but enjoyable )day.
