Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in good hands with our travel consultant and his team from the travel company. Our travel consultant and his wife personally greeted us at the airport, along with some local chocolate goodies, to review our itinerary. Each and every one of our drivers and guides was prompt, informative, friendly -- adding a lot to our experience. The travel company secured great hotels and organized excellent adventures and tours for us during Costa Rica's peak tourist season without a lot of lead time. We had a great vacation! Pura Vida!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We loved it all -- especially zip lining through Monteverde's lush cloud forest and floating down the Peñas Blancas river near Arenal, filled with howler monkeys and other exotic wildlife. Another highlight was dining (several times!) at the open air restaurant at the Resort & Spa, offering good food and spectacular, mesmerizing and always-changing views of the volcano. Our private guide on the boat transfer across Arenal Lake was unexpected and very informative.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We would try to plan better for our two nights near the San Jose airport (arriving and departing) -- dining options seemed to be quite limited in that area.
