Travel Review: Croatia Vacation, Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik, Plitvice Lakes National Park

While trying to plan a last minute trip to Croatia I found this website that helped to make the planning easier. We told them where we wanted to go and they offered a list of hotels to choose from and then a list of excursions to choose from. Sort of like an a la carte menu. Then the total was put together and we were on our way. What I loved most about this is that if you don't like to go with the traditional "tour" groups, this is perfect for you. Everything was catered around just the two of us. It was very personalized. Our travel company thought of everything - including providing us with a local cell phone so that we could contact our local representative in case we had any questions or needed anything. What a brilliant idea!!! Our itinerary was well planned out and we were met at every stop by a local rep who assisted us with luggage, transfer slips, tickets, etc. It truly made the trip easy for us to just enjoy it. My only constructed feedback would be the following:

1. We never got to unpack our suitcases and while each stop was worth it and I would do it all again, there might have been a better way to see everything but with less stops and an additional excursion. Something we could not have understood until after we lived it.

2. There is a lot of tipping involved and now knowing the local customs, I'm sure we over tipped. It might be nice to include that in the package so we don't need to overthink it.

3. The price of some of the excursions were a bit high. I mean $57 (each) for a walking tour seemed a bit high in our first city.

But overall I thought it was brilliant. I will definitely use you again and recommend you to everyone I know
