Travel Review: Custom New Zealand and Fiji Honeymoon Vacation, Queenstown, Auckland, Franz Josef, Abel Tasman, Marlborough, etc.

It was a wonderful 3 week honeymoon. We were on the move every couple of days in New Zealand, and then relaxed for one week in Fiji. The travel agency in New Zealand had it all in order, and everything went smooth. Our only issue was that our hotel room was not ready when we first arrived in Queenstown. This was a bit annoying as we had just traveled over 30 hours, and had to wait a few hours to shower. This was the only poorly planned piece of our New Zealand trip.

In Fiji, Pacific Destinationz was our on the ground point-of-contact, and they were accessible. They met us when we landed and were extremely friendly. On the down side, we had three flights cancelled while in Fiji, and we were not notified until the very last minute. We actually were forced to fly home a day late, and Pacific Destinationz said that the costs associated with this delay were our responsibility. We are currently working with Uniquely New Zealand (our US-based agent) on trying to get refunded, but the initial response was disappointing, considering the cancellations were not our fault.
