Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

I was extremely pleased with the advice and planning we received from the travel company I prefer to travel independently but there were many places that would have been very difficult to get to without driving ourselves, so the group travel was great.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The days in which we traveled independently. We spent 3 days in the Bay of Islands in the North Island. We spent 3 days traveling on the South Island after our 13 day group tour ended. We took the transcoastal train from Christchurch to Picton, did a one day trek on a part of the Queen Charlotte trek, took the ferry from Picton to Wellington and spent our last day there at the wonderful Te Papa museum. The scenery on the cruise of the Milford Sound was spectacular.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?
